Introduction
Dóra Máté obtained her MSc degree in Biology with Molecular-, Immune- and Microbiology specizalization in 2023 from Eötvös Loránd University. She began her doctoral studies in 2023 at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest within the Aujeszky Aladár Doctoral Programe of Theoretical Veterinary Sciences. During the first two years of her virology research, she worked at the Veterinary Medical Research Institute, initially in the Pathogen Discovery group and subsequently in the Functional Virology research group. Since 2025, she has been an assistant research fellow at the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, where she conducts her research activities in the Sequencing Laboratory.
Her doctoral research focuses on the diversity and host range of mammalian coronaviruses. In addition, she contributes to the daily operations of the Sequencing Laboratory.
