2.      Some departments of the University of Veterinary Medicine (Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Department of Pathology, Department of Parasitology and Zoology)

Length 10 Days
Form of the exam Short presentation (maximum 10 minutes) giving an overview on the whole practical with special focus on certain diagnostic methods.
Place of the exam Depending on the place of the practical: at the National Food Chain Safety Office, Veterinary Diagnostic Directorate or at the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
Time of the examination

1.      9 o’clock on the 10th day of the practical (National Food Chain Safety Office, Veterinary Diagnostic Directorate)

2.      1 o’clock p.m. on the 10th day of the practical (Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases)

3.      On examination days if the student had practical in other veterinary diagnostic institute.

Program of the two-week-long Laboratory diagnostic practical at the NFCSO-VDD

 

Current diagnostic problems are discussed at lectures or group discussions at the laboratories of NFCSO-VDD in Budapest, Debrecen and Kaposvár, and the students learn the practical diagnostic work in small groups. The detailed program is provided by the leader of the practical on the first day.

Group size maximum 12 students
  If the group size is 6 or less, the whole group begins at the Üllő unit of the Department of Pathology at 9 a.m. and there will be only a single group.
  If the group size is 7 or more, half of the group begins at the Üllő unit of the Department of Pathology at 9 a.m., the other half at the campus unit of the Department of Pathology at 9. a.m. The groups are divided on the agreement of the students.
