RESEARCH TOPIC:

The research group covers many animal welfare and animal protection topics in its research. We pay special attention to evaluating the animal welfare situation of companion and farm animals and explore specific aspects of animal cruelty from a veterinary and legal point of view. The investigation and evaluation of animal husbandry conditions and human-animal relationships is also part of animal welfare science and thus falls within the scope of interest of the research group. We also pay special attention to animal welfare indicators and animal behaviour.
