Effects of various biologically active molecules and metabolites on hte insulin signaling in chicken

The aim of this project is to study the effects of various biologically active molecules (e.g. butyrate) on the insulin signaling pathway in chicken. Studying butyrate’s possible influence on insulin cascade in chicken has a special importance, because this pathway in birds has some not fully elucidated differences from that in mammals. Cooperation with Prof. Korinna Huber (University of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover, Germany) and Prof. Hedvig Fébel (Research Institute for Animal Nutrition, Herceghalom, Hungary).
