What’s Happening Now?

Student Support & Counseling Services offer multiple mini-workshops/lectures on various topics for first-year students to assist in adjustment & fitting in. The following lectures and workshops are scheduled for the  2024 fall/winter term:

Mini-lecture series for first-year students:

  • Adjustment to medical school – September 6, 2024, from 3:00 pm till 4:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Learning techniques tips – September 6, 2024, from 4:00 pm till 5:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Exams and academic stress – September 6, 2024, from 5:00 pm till 6:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Bullying and mobbing concerns – September 6, 2024, from 6:00 am till 7:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Ethical norms and behaviors – September 6, 2024, from 7:00 pm till 8:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.

Workshop for new inactive (status) students for the fall term:

In the fall semester (2024/25) the next (free of charge) inactive workshop (consisting of 2 parts) is scheduled for

  • September 11. 2:00-4:30 pm (first segment) – topic: adaptive coping to overcome the “fail” mindset. – Location: in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • September 13. 3:00-5:30 pm (second segment) – topic: coping with procrastination & preparing for re-entry – Location: in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
