What’s Happening Now?

Student Support & Counseling Services offer multiple mini-workshops/lectures on various topics for first-year students to assist in adjustment & fitting in. The following lectures and workshops are scheduled for the  2025 fall/winter term:

Mini-lecture series for first-year students:

  • Adjustment to medical school – September 2, 2025, from 8:00 am till 9:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Learning techniques tips – September 2, 2025, from 9:00 am till 10:00 am – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Exams and academic stress – September 2, 2025, from 10:00 am till 11:00 am – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Bullying and mobbing concerns – September 2, 2025, from 11:00 am till 12:00 am – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.
  • Ethical norms and behaviors – September 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm – in Magyary-Kossa Lecture Hall in building R.

Workshop for new inactive (status) students for the fall term:

In the fall semester (2025/26) the next (free of charge) inactive workshop (consisting of 2 parts) is scheduled for

  • September 8. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (first segment) – topic: adaptive coping to overcome the “fail” mindset. – Location: Counseling office (building S ground floor – (accessible from the back side of the building from the direction of Dembinszky Street.)
  • September 15. 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (second segment) – topic: coping with procrastination & preparing for re-entry – Location: Counseling office (building S ground floor – (accessible from the back side of the building from the direction of Dembinszky Street.)
