Study in Malaysia 2018 – Another Successful Education Fair

The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest with 13 other Hungarian higher education institutions participated at the FACON Education Fair in December. This expo is one of the most significant education fairs in Southeast Asia. This year FACON hosted the Study in Europe Fair as well. Among the European exhibitors, Hungary had the largest number of universities in the international fair.

The Facon Education fair is one of the biggest education fairs in Malaysia and takes place each year in March and in December. It is recognised by the Malaysian Ministries of Education and Higher Education and is well known among Malaysian students. This platform allows European higher education institutions to meet their Malaysian counterparts and to enhance cooperation between Malaysian and European higher education institutions. The “Study in Europe” project aims to introduce students worldwide to study in Europe, to highlight study, research and scholarship opportunities in Europe and to connect European higher education institutions with international students and partners. To those who are committed to becoming vets, at the fair they could meet with our representatives personally and get answers to all their questions regarding our study programs, the university and Hungary as well. We hope we could greet them at our university soon.

After the Study Fair, our team visited 4 local universities and international schools, where the students had the chance to get better knowledge about our university, study program, and what a career of a veterinarian offers to them. We visited the University of Malaya (UM) which initial objective is to provide tertiary education to the people of Malaysia has successfully produced leaders and intellectuals in a range of disciplines. We’ve met with the representatives of the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) as well.

The most exciting part of our stay was the visit to the Mont’Kiara International School. The Mont’Kiara is a college preparatory school. The High School program is facilitated to prepare students for entrance to universities all over the world. The school’s mission to educate and improve its global community by enhancing the creative, emotional, social and academic talents of the individual child.

We thank all the students for attending the Study in Europe event in Malaysia and visited our booth. See you next time!
