Dear Reader!
I hereby inform you that, as a precaution to minimalize potential risk Prof. Dr. Péter Sótonyi, Rector of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, decided to delay the 24th Graz Conference. The conference will be held at a later date instead of April 16-18, with the announced program.
Thank you for your understanding!
The Graz Conference is a traditional European conference on medical and veterinary education which was launched by 4 Austrian medical doctors in 1995 and despite the name of the event the conference location rotates. This year it will be organized for the 24th time and the location is the beautiful capital of Hungary, Budapest. The venue is the historic campus of the University of Veterinary Medicine in the center of the city. The GraCo2020 takes place between 16-18 of April (Thursday-Saturday).
The conference focuses on the teaching of life skills in medical and veterinary education which is a recently rising topic. Besides professional skills, the fresh graduates need to be prepared for so-called life skills such as communication, empathy, resilience, digital and entrepreneurial competences.
The keynote speakers are coming from all over Europe (Germany, Netherlands, UK, Poland, Macedonia) and they are well-known experts of these fields. Topics will include lectures and workshops such as:
“Rapid expansion of Clinical Skills Labs in Veterinary Establishments”
„Students as creators”
“Communication in vets – why and how could we make it better?”
“What research tells us about positive and negative mental well-being”
“Entrepreneurship Education in Medicine”
“Developing competence models: From theory to practice”
We would like to invite you to participate in this interesting event and invite colleagues and students at your universities. Participation is free for under-, post- and PhD graduate students (Gala Dinner is not included).
