2nd European Conference on Veterinary and Medical Education (ECVME)

The 10th Days of Veterinary Medicine and, at the same time, the 2nd European Conference on Veterinary and Medical Education (ECVME) were held in North Macedonia, Ohrid, between September 22-25. The first such educational research event was hosted by the University of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.

This year, on behalf of our university, Prof. Míra Mándoki (Pathology) and Dr. István Tóth (Physiology) were the members of the organizing and scientific committee, on top of it the designers and supervisors of the program of the international education development conference.

The educational development conference had two main topics this year: the challenges of complying with European and national accreditation procedures, and with a special emphasis on the pedagogical training of teachers at veterinary universities. Both topics are of great importance from the point of view of the development of Veterinary education establishments (VEEs).

The E-learning research group of the university through Prof. Tibor Bartha, Prof. Míra Mándoki, Dr. István Tóth and Dr. Adrienn Mercédesz Veres with 4 presentations, of which Professor Bartha gave one of the keynote presentations and a student poster (Matilde-Rose du Toit) participated. Among the members of the 5-person Hungarian delegation was Dr. Ferencné Gerencsér, a doctoral student working in educational development.
