Introduction
Dr. Miklós Tenk received his diploma at the University of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After graduation, he was employed at the Department of Obstetrics and Reproductive Biology, and in 1995 he started working at the National Institute of Animal Health, where he mastered the diagnostic methods of many specialties. His workplace became the Department of Bacteriology, where he mainly worked with Mycoplasmas in addition to routine diagnostics.
He completed his PhD work at the Veterinary Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He obtained his doctorate in 2005 with his thesis “Examination of Mycoplasma bovis infection in cattle”.
He was hired at Ceva-Phylaxia in 2006 as an R+D team leader, where his main task was the management and supervision of the development of bacteriological vaccines, planning and technical implementation of bacteriological R&D projects.
He worked as an R&D manager at Mikrolab Laboratóriumi Kft. between September 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
He heads the Department of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the University of Veterinary Medicine from July 1, 2021.
