Welcome to Budapest

Known as one of the most beautiful European cities, Budapest offers many opportunities for sightseeing. We would like to give you some useful informations about our beloved capital.

Public transport

The airport is outside of the city, but you have multiple ways to get to the city center. There are airport buses (100 and 200E), many shuttle and taxi services.

Once you get to the city center, you can get to basically anywhere with public transportation. There are many types of daily tickets, you can even combine them with a Budapest Card. Here you can get some information about the tickets.

Budapest Zoo

The Budapest Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Europe. Besides a lot of exotic and wild animals, it has a wide selection of different plants as well.

Sightseeing

Budapest has many historic buildings and landmarks. Here are some of the „must see” places:

  2. Danube promenade
  3. Parliament
  4. Margaret Island
  5. Stephen’s Basilica

Thermal baths are one of the most visited tourist attractions in Budapest. There are many of them, here are the most popular ones:

Museums

If you would like a little cultural exploration during your stay, Budapest has many museums and galleries. Here are examples:
