Applicants who wish to begin their veterinary studies after completing studies in a different field are required to apply through the standard admission procedure. If, during their previous studies, they have completed courses that correspond to subjects in the curriculum of the UVMB, they may apply for course exemptions AFTER successful admission.

Students who have already completed several semesters in a veterinary training program may be eligible to transfer without undergoing the standard admission process, provided that their completed coursework substantially overlaps with the UVMB curriculum.
