2in1 progam

The UVMB offers an individual study plan for students who received multiple major subject exemptions from the first and second curricular years simultaneously. This program is referred to as “2in1.” Participants in the 2in1 program have the opportunity to complete the first two academic years within two semesters, while paying tuition fees for only one academic year.

The 2in1 program is a high-risk, high-reward opportunity. Students who fail to successfully complete their required subjects within the two semesters will be placed in inactive status. Students who successfully complete the program may significantly accelerate their academic progress and save one academic year, both in time and tuition fees.

For all subjects from which no exemption has been granted, the same rules and regulations apply as for regular students, including all academic, attendance, and exam requirements (including exam chances, exam dates etc.). Given the tight and strictly regulated nature of the regular academic schedule, participation in the 2in1 program is possible only if the student has received exemptions covering at least 50% of the total contact hours of the first two curricular years.

Detailed regulations governing the 2in1 program are available in the Student Guide.

Students who have received exemptions from at least two of the following final examination groups — Anatomy 1–2–3, Veterinary Biochemistry 1–2, and Veterinary Physiology 1–2 — in addition to a significant number of exemptions from other subjects, may be invited to participate in the program by the Vice-Rector for Study Affairs.

The decision regarding invitation to the program will only be made after all corresponding subject exemption requests have been fully evaluated. If exemption requests are submitted too late, the decision may only be issued during the semester, which may compromise the student’s ability to participate in the 2in1 program.

Invitation to the program falls exclusively within the authority of the Vice-Rector for Study Affairs, who will decide on a case-by-case basis based on the exemptions awarded. No appeal may be submitted against this decision.

Following the invitation, students must inform the Student Secretariat whether they accept or decline participation in the program. Once the Secretariat has been informed, this decision cannot be modified.
