We Visited Several International Educational Fairs in September

The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest visited several other educational fairs during September, where the students could meet with our team personally and get answers to all their questions. At every fair, many students were excited and curious, expressing their wish to be a veterinarian student at Hungary.

Our representatives visited:

China, Hong Kong – school visits (16th September – 21st September) – Over 10 international high schools welcomed our colleague in Hong Kong either at small college fairs or individual counselling sessions to learn about Hungarian veterinary education. It was nice to see that not only students in their final year of high school, but also from lower years showed interest in getting to know the veterinary profession. Many of them expressed their wish to participate in our Summer School in 2020.

Ireland, Dublin – Irish Times Higher Options University Fair (18th September – 20th September) – The Irish Times Higher Options Career Fair is one of Ireland’s biggest student events that was held from 18th September to 20th September 2019 in Dublin’s RDS. Over 160 colleges, universities and exhibitors were presented to thousand secondary school students from across Ireland. Our school had the privilege to exhibit on this expo standing next to many other European universities and colleges. It was the perfect opportunity to promote our Veterinary Medicine program among students who were interested in Animal Medicine and studying in Budapest. Through the 3 days programme, it was a great way to connect and meet students face to face at the beginning of their adult life. We received a great traction from visitors and hope we can welcome many of them among our freshers next September.

Lithuania, Vilnius /  Latvia, Riga / Estonia, Tallinn– Baltic Council Fairs (18th September – 22nd September) – For many years, the Baltic Council Fairs have been a regular choice for international educational institutions and thousands of students. Many education providers who have participated in the Baltic Council fairs during the last years have testified that these educational fairs are among the most well-organised student recruitment events in the world. In order to reach our prospective students from the Baltic region, the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest participated for the second time. The students were excited and curious, expressing their wish to be a veterinarian student in Hungary.

Our veterinary education still popular in South-East Asia

Thailand, Bangkok – CIS school visits (16th September – 21st September)
Vietnam, Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh – CIS school visits and Hanoi Fall University Fair & International University Fair and Conference Saigon (25th September – 29th September)
Indonesia, Jakarta – Network of Indonesian School Counsellors Mini-Conference and Fair (30th September – 1st October)

Our colleagues have visited Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia during the last weeks, where they have promoted the Hungarian veterinary education among the students of the international high schools. Besides the students of the schools with the international curriculum in Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Jakarta, the school counsellors also knew about the details of the course, the entry requirements and the possibilities after the graduation. Last but not least, UVMB was represented at the CIS-EARCOS annual fair, which the main goal is to enhance the counsellor network and the collaboration with the universities.

We hope that could see familiar faces among our students soon.
