Dr. János Gál receives the Tolnay Sándor Award
The award, established in 1992 in honour of Dr Sándor Tolnay, the first Hungarian veterinary professor who laid the foundation for Hungarian veterinary education, was presented this year by Dr István Nagy, Minister responsible for the Ministry of Agriculture, to Dr. János Gál, Head of Department and University Professor, on August 19.
Our colleague received the award for his outstanding contributions to education and educational organizations in the field of exotic animal and wildlife health. The award also recognizes the decade-long efforts in establishing and organizing education and research in exotic animal medicine, as well as wildlife, fish, and bee health under one umbrella, which has taken shape in the Department of Exotic Animal and Wildlife Health.
Dr. Bence Rácz receives the Szent-Györgyi Albert Award
On the occasion of the Day of Hungarian Higher Education, Dr. Bence Rácz, Associate Professor at the Department of Anatomy and Histology and Head of the Doctoral School, received the Szent-Györgyi Albert Award in recognition of his outstanding teaching and research activities in the field of higher education. The award was presented by Minister Dr. Balázs Hankó on August 30, 2024, during the ceremonial opening of the 2024/2025 academic year at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
