Béla Nádaskay (1848-1933)

Béla Nádaskay (1848-1933)

Professor of ’descriptive and regional anatomy’ and also a lecturer in botany, nature studies, mineralogy, obstetrics and forensic veterinary medicine.

He established the present collection of the Anatomical Museum with his artistically prepared specimens. He was one of the few renaissance figures left: though an anatomist, he was talented in drawing, playing the piano and singing as well.

He established, and for long years, was secretary-general of the Hungarian Veterinary Association. He was also founder and editor of the journal Veterinarus (a predecessor of the Hungarian Veterinary Journal), which was the first veterinarian periodical in Hungarian language.
