Head of the Department of Surgery and Ophthalmology at the College of Veterinary Medicine from 1948 to 1957, he was an outstanding instructor and practitioner of veterinary surgery and ophthalmology as well as the author of surgery and ophthalmology textbooks.

He was removed from his department after the 1956 revolution, but he remained a dedicated practitioner of his profession.
