Internship

Dierenartsenpraktijk Bodegraven offers a 1-year internship program.
This internship is designed for qualified veterinary graduates who wish to specialise in equine general practice or specific disciplines related to equine practice.

The clinic is located in Bodegraven, in the Netherlands, providing care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is a quickly developing, well equipped busy clinic with a high and versatile caseload. The clinic has an ambulatory service with routine interventions and emergencies as well as many referral cases. The clinic has many facilities and instruments, amongst which: MRI-scan, built in and mobile x-ray systems, different ultrasound systems, endoscopes, laboratory, fully equipped surgery rooms with the possibility of performing standing surgeries and surgeries under general anaesthesia.

Here you will have the chance to master yourself in the fields of orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, obstetrics, neonatal care, dentistry and ophthalmology.

During the internship you will work closely with our veterinarians helping with the emergency cases, help maintaining a high standard of care for hospital patients and helping with patients coming in on a daily basis.

Requirements are the following:

• Veterinary degree
• Stable level of English
• Experience with horses
• Interest in equine medicine

Dutch language and a driving licence are not required but it is an advantage.
